Recently we were approached by a young lady, Hayley, drumming up support from local Woolloongabba businesses in her mission to raise funds for The World Youth Education Trust. Hayley is hosting a charity trivia night raising funds for the organisation and her major fundraising effort where she will climb Mt Kilimanjaro. The World Youth Education Trust is a registered, not for profit trust, that supports quality education and leadership for disadvantaged children. WYET currently supports The Mwalimu Anna Academy, private community and orphanage school in Northern Tanzania, Africa and is expanding to also include indigenous communities in Australia. I was more than happy to lend our support and offered that I could provide a framed piece for the silent auction. The dilemma was what to frame. As custom picture framers we generally frame other peoples works so I was stumped as to what to put in this frame. Luckily, ARTIS PURA has many wonderful local artist friends and after a quick call out on Facebook Barek was the first to put his hand up. Together I think we have put together a great piece. Please keep your fingers crossed it contributes much needed funds to give these children a better start in life through education.
